About seven construction workers were injured when the three-story auditorium of the Word In Action Church collapsed at Old Bortianor.
This happened in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.
The disaster reportedly ensued while the victims were working on an extension project around the facility.

Eyewitnesses say they heard an unusual noise before the building came down, as the workers attempted to escape.
All the victims were taken to the Bortianor Polyclinic for treatment.
One of them has been subsequently transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
Personnel from the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), have visited the site of the incident to ascertain whether there may be anymore victims under the rubble.
However, it is not immediately known what caused the disaster.
