Several shops in Kasoa were razed by fire on Monday evening.
Firefighters are working around the clock to douse the inferno, which has engulfed a number of structures at Ghana Flag Junction.
Reports say it started at about 5:30 pm at which point the residents called the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
The structures affected by the inferno off the Kasoa-Obom road include carpentry shops, drinking spots, and others.
No casualties have been recorded so far. However, property worth tens of thousands of cedis has been lost.

Residents expressed fear of the worst to Myjoyonline's David Andoh as the area is dotted with power lines with two filling stations very close by.

However, the GNFS officials are making progress in quenching the flames.
