Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Shilla Alhassan has filed for a floating status before the Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to be declared a free agent.Shilla who last featured for the Porcupine Warriors during the 2005/2006 soccer season is said to have had some spells with a Gabonese club after leaving the local scene.The former Real Tamale United (RTU) hit-man is among a list of 24 players invited by the Committee to its sittings on Thursday, June 21 at the Association’s Secretariat, according a release signed by Emmanuel Gyimah, GFA Deputy General Secretary in charge of Administration copied to the GNA Sports.The other invited players are Akwasi Bobie Ansah – King Faisal, Awudu Nafiu – Ebusua Dwarfs/King Faisal FC, Frank Owusu Beeboo – Blessing FC, Popson William Nii Armah Ashong – Seven United FC, Philip Nana Yeboah – Domfeh Academy, David Terpetey – Eagle Stars, Eric Kwame Debrah – Numbo United and Stephen Kankyira – Venomous Vipers FC.Others are Kwesi Bonsu and Richard Nanka Bruce– Accra Great Olympics, Stephen Damalie – Gold Stars FC, Baba Wuro – Midtjilland FC, Jeremiah Akunnor – Zaytuna FC, Abrefa Gyan Christian – Topsymore, Joseph Gogoe – Zaytuna FC, Ofran Daniel – Pactsco United and Eric Fiador – African United.The rest are Nana Dwomo Sarkodie – Tano Bofoakwa, Alex Tawiah – Abizei-Bay FC, Richard Mensah – Auroras/Adom Wonders FC, Charles Crentsil – Venomous Vipers, Alhassan Andani – Numbo United, Anthony Davies – Hasaacas/Vipers FC and Emmanuel Bortey – Feyenoord Academy.The statement said that players and clubs who fail to appear will have their cases struck out.Source: GNA
