A shop at Old Tafo, suburb of Kumasi was gutted by fire last Monday destroying properties worth about 7,000 Ghana cedis.
The items burnt included a container, clothes, deep-freezer, sewing machines, assorted mobile phones and other materials.
Miss Zulahetu Tanko 20, a seamstress and owner of the shop, briefing Ghana News Agency said her brother Mr Abdul Samed, a barber who works near her shop informed her on phone that there was a fire outbreak in her shop.
She said she rushed to the scene and was assisted by some people to put-off the fire but could not ascertain the cause of the fire.
