The Managing Director of SIC Insurance, Benjamin Acolatse has been relieved of his position by the Board of Directors.
The decision took effect from yesterday after a board meeting.
This was communicated in a circular sent to staff and cited by JOY BUSINESS.
According to the communication, the current Deputy Managing Director, Doris Awo Nkani takes over as the Acting Managing Director with effect from today.

* APPOINTMENT OF MRS. DORIS AWO NKANI AS ACTING MANAGING DIRECTOR OF SIC
INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS *
The Board of SIC at a meeting held on the 3rd of May 2012 decided to
relieve the Managing Director, Mr. Benjamin Acolatse of his position with
effect from 3rd May 2012.
The current DMD (Tech), Mrs. Doris Awo Nkani has been appointed as Acting
Managing Director with effect from 4th May 2012.
The Board wishes to assure all employees and stakeholders that it will
continue to offer steady and progressive leadership for the smooth and
proper function of the Company.
As the largest Insurance Company in Ghana and with the improving economic fortunes of the nation, the Board is confident that in working harmoniously
together with all stakeholders, the company is well positioned to capture
the emerging opportunities in the Ghanaian insurance industry for the
mutual benefit of all stakeholders.
