Ghanaians on social media have been reacting to government's decision to extend the deadline for SIM registration.
During Sunday's announcement, Communication Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful announced that a self-service application will be launched on August 2.
According to her, this app will enable the public re-register their sim cards in the comfort of their homes without having to queue at any network operator’s office.
However, this has triggered some concerns from Ghanaians who have taken to social media to air their views on the development.
In a bid to pursue an all-inclusive SIM card re-registration at the convenience of all citizens, the capitalist-led Communication Minister, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful says SIM holders should pay ¢5 when they use the proposed app to register. I hope the money would be accounted for!
