The Spanish Government on Monday sent bundles of tents and blankets to flood victims in the Northern, Upper West and Upper East regions.
The items formed part of the first consignment of assistance expected to be donated by the Spanish Government.
The donation followed an earlier visit by a high powered Spanish Government delegation to the country, which promised assistance to persons affected by floods in the Northern part of the country.
The items, which were received by Nana Obiri Boahen, Minister of State at the Ministry of Interior were expected to be presented to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) on Tuesday.
Recent floods in the three Northern regions displaced thousands of people and also caused some deaths, necessitating the call for assistance from both local and international sources.
