Confederation of African Football (CAF), Medical Committee did not advice cancelation of competitions under the umbrella of the continent's football governing, member of the Committee, Dr Prince Pambo has stated.
It would be recalled that Dr Pambo was quoted by myjoyonline.com to have said that the Executive Committee of CAF was advised by the medical committee to cancel its tournaments due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has forced major sporting competitions across the globe to a ground halt.
The exact message intended for communication was that the committee advised CAF to suspend all tournaments and matches as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and not cancel.
CAF suspended all its competitions indefinitely following the outbreak of the pandemic earlier this year.
The outbreak forced governments of member associations of CAF to enforce movement restrictions on its citizens and ban public gatherings.
