FA hears Hearts protest against Power FC

The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association will hear the protest filed by Accra Hearts of Oak against Power FC on Thursday. Hearts say Power FC fielded an unqualified player, Nathaniel Quaye during their league match and the FA must therefore punish Power. Power FC won the match 2:1 after Hearts had taken the lead and the Phobians are asking that they be credited with the match points. Hearts claim that the player’s loan deal with Power FC had expired by the day of the match, however Power have denied the charge. Nathaniel Quaye himself will also make an appearance before the committee. The case is one of twelve cases involving several clubs and their officials to be heard by the Disciplinary Committee. Other Premier League sides, Tano Bofoakwa and Berekum Arsenals are due to appear before the Committee. They are to explain reports of violence that took place during their 18th week match at the Golden City Park in Berekum.
