Young Stars should use money judiciously

A Deputy Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, Dr Omane Boamah, has advised young members of the Black Stars to spend judiciously whatever they have toiled to earn at the Angola 2010 African Cup of Nations. He said the Stars should remain disciplined, especially now that they have earned so much money which if they fail to manage well could lead to the destruction of their bright future. Dr Boamah noted that as a country, Ghana has had such players who put up sterling performances just like the Black Stars of today but could not progress beyond the 1992 African Cup of Nations. The Deputy Minister, who was speaking on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana Tuesday, stressed the need for the Stars to work hard, hoping their hard work would pay someday. He reckoned that though it was painful that they did not win the ultimate cup, judging by the kind of performance they put up against Egypt, they should not lose hope because “they have several years of footballing ahead of them”.
