Star Assurance has reaffirmed its commitment to helping children in underserved communities by donating ¢20,000 to support the Hope for Little Lives Foundation's Christmas activities in Sekondi Takoradi in the Western region.
This generous contribution marks Star Assurance's long-standing partnership with the foundation, which strives to provide essential healthcare services to children in need.
The funds will support various Christmas activities, including health education and free screening for children, free surgeries for children with various medical conditions, and other initiatives aimed at improving the lives of children in underserved communities.
During a presentation ceremony, the CEO of Star Assurance, Boatemaa Barfour-Awuah, expressed the company's dedication to the foundation's mission.
"Star Assurance is proud to be part of Hope for Little Lives Foundation's growth and inspired by their unwavering passion to help children. We believe that every child deserves access to quality healthcare, and we are committed to supporting this noble cause," she said.
Director of Programmes and Outreach at Hope for Little Lives Foundation, Dr. Jeffrey Parker, expressed his deep gratitude to Star Assurance for their consistent support.
"Thanks to Star Assurance's unwavering commitment, we have performed over 170 surgeries and screened over 1,200 children in the past three to four years.
This has significantly impacted the lives of countless children and families. We are incredibly grateful for Star Assurance's partnership and continued support," he said.
