The Black Stars of Ghana were held 1-1 by the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a friendly game played at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
The game was to afford the Stars the opportunity to sharpen the rough edges ahead of the Nations Cup tournament, next week.
It was the third string Bafana Bafana side which shot into the lead early in the first half but Sulley Muntari fetched the equalizer few minutes later to save the blushes of the tournament favourites.
The Stars scored what appeared to be a legitimate goal late in the game but was ruled offside.
Goran Stevanovic’s side will play Platinum Stars of South Africa on Wednesday to finalise preparations for the tournament.
The Stars are paired in Group D against Mali, Botswana and Guinea.
Ghana line up
Adam Kwarasey, John Paintsil, Masahudu Alhassan, John Boye, John Mensah, Derek Boateng, Samuel Inkoom, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Jordan Ayew, Sulley Muntari, Andre Ayew
