Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his campaign team have finally boarded the Dambai ferry despite an initial setback Tuesday morning.
Joy News gathered the NPP leader and many other party supporters boarded the ferry to Krachi Nchumuru and Krachi West Constituencies to propagate the party's change message ahead of the December 7 polls.
NPP Volta Regional Vice Chairman, Dr Archibald Letsa told Joy News that they are happy the hurdle which could have ended the party's campaign in the Volta Region had been surmounted.
“We haven’t lost hope, we are hopeful that whatever time it takes us we are going to Krachi Nchumuru and Krachi West Constituencies," he said.

Nana Akufo-Addo and his campaign team were stranded for two hours when the Dambai ferry they had wanted to use to reach residents of Krachi Nchumuru and Krachi West Constituencies had some challenges.
Joy News' Volta Regional correspondent, Fred Asare explained that the hold up was necisstated by a truck load of yam which had skidded off the ferry on its way to Krachi West.

"The truck was partially submerged in the lake blocking the ferry from moving and it had to be towed out of the lake before the ferry could return," he reported.
