The European summer transfer window closed on Monday. A good number of Ghanaian players were on the move during the window, however, the Joy Sports team takes a look at the best five deals.
Jordan Ayew – Swansea City to Crystal Palace
The 27-year-old’s exploits at the recent Africa Cup of Nations earned him a permanent move to Crystal Palace this summer. Ayew featured 25 times on loan for Crystal Palace last season.

Despite scoring two goals during his loan spell, Roy Hodgson urged Palace to secure the services of the Ghanaian forward for €2.8 million from Swansea City. The coach highlighted the reason why the club signed Ayew.
"He has proved himself as a dedicated and hard-working member of the squad, and certainly played his part in the club securing its highest ever Premier League points tally in the last campaign."
Ayew’s contract with Crystal Palace is for three years and so far he has repaid the faith of Roy Hodgson scoring two goals in his first three Premier League games.
Nana Ampomah – Waasland-Beveren to Fortuna Dusseldorf
He signed for Fortuna Dusseldorf on a three-year deal this summer. The 23-year old winger scored eight goals in 30 appearances last season for Belgian side Waasland-Beveren.

The Ghanaian winger has four international caps under his belt and he will be hoping to continue his rise at his new side. Expectations for the new signing are high and board member of Fortuna Dusseldorf Lutz Pfannenstiel underlined that.
"We have watched him several times and are convinced that after his strong last season in the Belgian Jupiler League, he will also leave a lasting impression in the Bundesliga."
Nana Ampomah is yet to make his Bundesliga debut. However, he scored his first goal in the DFB-Pokal against FC 08 Villingen and will be hoping to get his first league goal after the international break.
Joseph Aidoo – Genk to Celta Vigo
After winning the Belgium Pro title with Genk last season, the former Inter Allies defender completed a dream move to La Liga side Celta Vigo this summer. Aidoo signed a five year deal with the Sky Blues and will be looking forward to become a household name in La Liga in the coming years.

Celta conceded 62 goals last season and were on the brink of relegation after finishing 17th. So far, Aidoo has made two appearances for his new side, impressing in both matches. In his recent match against Sevilla, the 23-year old Ghanaian made nine clearances and one interception.
It’s now two games unbeaten for the Galician outfit, and Aidoo will be looking to inspire his team to victory when newly-promoted Granada come visiting the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos on September 15.
Kelvin Ofori – Right to Dream Academy to Fortuna Dusseldorf

The Right to Dream Academy graduate signed his first professional contract with Fortuna Dusseldorf over the summer. The 18-year old signed a three-year deal and will be wearing the number 14 jersey.
"Kelvin Ofori is a great talent in Ghana and we are very happy that he has chosen Fortuna," club board member Lutz Pfannenstiel mentioned.
"He has a great technique and his pace makes him hard to defend. We are convinced that he can develop as best as possible with us," he added.
The attacking midfielder scored on his debut against FC 08 Villingen in the DFB-Pokal despite coming on as a substitute in the 63rd minute. He could be in line to make his Bundesliga debut against Wolfsburg after the international break.
Kevin-Prince Boateng – Sassuolo to Fiorentina
The true definition of a journeyman. Boateng, 32, is playing for his 13th career club after signing with Fiorentina. Kevin-Prince fell out of favour during his loan move to Barcelona last season and will be looking to cover his name in glory on his return to Italy.

Fiorentina paid €1 million for the Ghanaian attacker to help improve on their 16th-place finish in the Serie A last season. Boateng was expected to boost the attacking force of La Viola and has done that so far this season scoring on his debut against Napoli in the league.
The former Sassuolo forward revealed why he signed: “I chose Fiorentina for the project: the club really wanted me and applied so much pressure to sign me.”
“For me, that was a very important thing, given my age,” he added.
