Armed men suspected to be robbers have attacked some passengers travelling on the Sawla- Tuna Highway in the Northern region, Friday.
According to an eyewitness who had come to meet the scene, the driver of bus carrying some passengers sustained injuries after armed men fired gun shots at the bus.
“When we got there they had already robbed some people and started shooting at our convoy, we were moving with five vehicles so those at the back were able to turn back but we stopped and run to hide in the bush,” Adams Salaam recounted.
According to Salaam, he and some other passengers started calling the police from the bush, where they were hiding.
Police have reportedly arrived at the scene to convey the victims to safety..
