The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers who were involved in the killing of a police constable at Weija.
The regional police PRO, ASP Christopher Tawiah tells Joy News that the two, Kwaku Badu and Ishmael Ahenkorah, were arrested at Goaso upon a tip off.
Constable Charles Akatta who was in his late 30s sustained gunshot wounds during a shootout with a gang of robbers.
The constable was rushed to the hospital but died shortly after.
ASP Christopher Tawiah said the suspects “were hiding at Goaso, they were in a mini bus with registration number GT-8086-10.”

He said they have been charged with robbery but would subsequently be charged with murder.
