Swansea City have endured a patchy campaign thus far, although they continue to march on in the FA Cup, their inconsistent performance in the Premier League means they are embroiled in the relegation battle.  However, it appears their survival hopes statistically depend on Ghana striker Jordan Ayew scoring as it has been established that anytime he is on target the Welsh club does not lose.  On Tuesday night, he came off the bench to power Swansea to last eight of FA Cup for the first time in 54 years. The 26-year old netted in less than nine minutes on the field to set the Swans on their way before Nathan Dyer sealed victory with a close-range finish with 10 minutes left. He has an element of class about him. He was head and shoulders above most players on the pitch. He was easily the best player in this game and he only played half of it. He changed the game. He made the back five of Sheffield Wednesday extremely nervous. Nobody came close to doing that in the first half." said BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson who was present at the Liberty Stadium.
