Bilateral relations between Ghana and Switzerland continue to grow with increased public, as well as private partnerships between the two countries.
With the establishment of a Swiss-Ghanaian chamber of commerce in August 2014, business opportunities are expected to increase especially among small and medium scale industries.
It is on this premise that the Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Gerhard Brugger paid a working visit to Zoomlion Ghana and the Jospong Group of Companies to familiarize himself with the activities of the various subsidiaries under the group.

The visit included a tour of some facilities of the company: The motorbike and tricycle Assembly plant, the vehicle assembly plant, Universal Plastic Products and Recycling ltd., and the KNUST-Africa Institute of Sanitation and Waste Management.
Other institutions visited are the Accra Compost and Recycling Plant and Jute Mills Ghana limited where cocoa sacks are manufactured for the Ghana Cocoa Board.
Ghana continues to be one of the leading exporters of cocoa to Switzerland’s infamous cocoa industry and as a result, the Ambassador was visibly impressed with activities of the companies.

During the tour, it came to light that the two countries have maintained good and long standing relations which have been fruitful for both countries.
The focal points of the relations have been the flourishing trade, particularly in cocoa and the Swiss government's support programme for the country.
Swiss exports to Ghana consist largely of machinery, in particular equipment for food processing-grain processing, cocoa, chocolate and pharmaceutical products.
Both Ambassador Gerhard Brugger and the management of Zoomlion and the Jospong group of Companies were optimistic of future trade cooperation.
