Lieutenant Commander Ernest Boateng-Okrah, Port Operations Manager of the Ghana National Manganese Corporation (GNMC), on Wednesday called on old students of Takoradi Secondary School (TADISCO) to contribute their "widow's mite" to develop the school into a model institution.
He made the call when re-launching the Golden Jubilee Anniversary of Tadisco at Takoradi.
Lt. Commander Boateng-Okrah, who is an old student of the school, said
the time is ripe for old students in the country and abroad to pool resources
to assist in the development of the school.
He said the government has been playing a major role in the school’s development, but given its numerous responsibilities, the government alone cannot provide all needs of the school.
Lt Commander Boateng-Okrah said all stakeholders should put their shoulders to the wheel to complement and support government’s various programmes and assistance.
He said the theme for the celebration; "Tadisco At 50, The New Educational Reforms And Challenges For Day Institutions; The Role of Stakeholders" has been chosen to ginger stakeholders to come to the aid of the school.
