This year’s Takoradi Open Golf Championship will tee off with about 100 golfers from all over the country expected to participate in the event at its Golf Course in the Western Region on Saturday, November 1 and end on Sunday, November 2.
Reverend Lee Mensah, Captain of the Takoradi Golf Club, who announced this in Accra on Friday, said the two-day 36-Hole Scratch event is open to both amateur and professional golfers which would be sponsored by Ballore Africa Logistics.
He said the event would be played under the rules of the Ghana Golf Association and the local rules of the Takoradi Golf Club.
Rev. Mensah said the necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure a keen competition and that mouth-watering prizes have also been put at stake for grabs by the participants.
Stephen Miezah, Samuel Peprah and S. Coggin, all of the Takoradi Golf Club are expected to be seen in action.
Vincent Torgah, Victor Brave-Mensah, Emos Korblah and Baba Akologo would also battle each other for honours in the professional’s category.
