The Member of Parliament for Gushegu, Alhassan Tampuli, has reiterated his belief that education remains the surest path to unlocking the potential of young people.
He made this known on Monday, August 18, 2025, when he disbursed financial support to 238 tertiary students in his constituency.
The beneficiaries included students pursuing courses in law, medicine, engineering, nursing, agriculture, veterinary science, teaching, and other disciplines.

Mr. Tampuli, who described the occasion as “yet another special day” for his constituents, urged the students to commit themselves fully to their studies.
“I admonish you to dedicate yourselves and come out with flying colours at the end of your programmes,” he said.

He expressed particular excitement about the growing participation of female students and voiced optimism that “in the next two or three years the females will overtake the males in terms of the number of tertiary students.”
The lawmaker also highlighted investments in secondary education within the constituency, noting that he had recently paid a visit to Gushegu Senior High School.

There, he interacted with WASSCE candidates and the teaching staff, assuring them of his continued support.
He pointed to the construction of a new deposit pulsa tanpa potongan dining hall and the renovation of the girls’ dormitory, which had been severely damaged by a rainstorm, as part of his commitment to improving learning conditions.

Later in the day, Mr. Tampuli paid a courtesy call on the Gushegu NDC Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Asmana Jamoni.
He described the encounter as a friendly exchange, remarking: “It is always a pleasure catching up with my brother and reminding him that the power they have now is a loan for just four years.”
