Modern Auto Services (MAS) has been appointed as a dealer for Tata vehicle range which comprises The Vista hatch and Manza sedan, Aria SUV and Sumo Utility Vehicle, Xenon pick up and Ace 0.7 ton load carrier.

With this partnership Modern Auto is expected to provide localised sales and service in Accra with an 18-bay ultra -modern workshop and showroom at Graphic Road.

MAS will also render sales and service at Tamale, Takoradi and Kumasi.

Tata Motors entered Ghana in 2004 and has since been a major player in the Ghanaian automobile industry with an on-road presence of 7,000 vehicles from passenger cars to heavy commercial vehicles.

Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company, with consolidated revenues of $ 34.7 billion in 2012-13 through subsidiaries and associate companies.

It has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands. It also has an industrial joint venture with Fiat in India. 

With over 8 million Tata vehicles plying in India, Tata Motors is the country’s market leader in commercial vehicles and among the top in passenger vehicles.

It is also the world's fifth largest truck manufacturer and fourth largest bus manufacturer.

Modern Automobile Service Limited (MAS), a member of the Kalmoni Group of Companies, was established in April 1978.

With its head office on the Graphic Road, South Industrial Area, Accra. The company has five sales and service centres strategically placed to cater for its numerous customers nationwide.

Equipped with a complete range of after sales service products, MAS service centres are located in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale.

The company is reputed for popularizing the use of Daewoo vehicles in Ghana during its early years in business and currently holds the franchise for SsangYong and Foton vehicles.

MAS taps into the rich technical and managerial experience of its parent company, the Kalmoni Group which has a very strong heritage and experience in the transport and automobile industry in Ghana dating back 100 years ago.
