The embossment of Accra Metropolitan Assembly registration numbers on taxis in the metropolis has helped to decrease the crime wave in the city.Mr Stanley Adjri-Blankson, Metropolitan Chief Executive, made this remark in Accra on Friday at the end of year get-together for assembly members and heads of departments of the Assembly.He said the Assembly under his administration had been able to chalk a lot of successes during which the Assembly purchased 20 pick-up vehicles and a bus for the staff.Mr Adjri-Blankson further stated that barring any unforeseeable problems the Assembly would be able to finance itself by the 1st quarter of 2009 through its own revenue mobilization programme.He urged all the Assembly members and heads of departments to work very hard for the Assembly to achieve its set goals this year.Source: GNA
