A US woman had mixed emotions to find she had finally found a kidney donor - her own daughter.
Sarah Nesbit, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, had been waiting years for a kidney transplant.
But she was shocked when she found out the kidney would be coming from her own 18-year-old daughter Melody.
"I was mad," she said. "That's my baby girl and nobody wants to have surgery when they don't have to."
But to Melody, there was no other option. She remembered the choice her mother made when she was pregnant with her little brother, Ernie.
Due to complications, doctors warned Sarah that if she went through with the pregnancy she would be forced onto dialysis until she got a transplant.
Sarah didn't hesitate. She gave birth to Ernie and soon after began experiencing trouble with her kidneys.
"I think she deserves a second chance at life," Melody said.
So, without telling her mum, Melody got tested when she turned 18 to see if she would be a donor match.
"Just a typical teenager and the sacrifice - I can't believe," Sarah said. "I've never felt unconditional love like that."
The mother-daughter kidney transplant will take place next week and will mean weeks of recovery for both mother and daughter.
