Ecobank has appointed the current Managing Director of Mechanical Lloyd, Terence Darko as Chairman of the board of the bank.
Mr. Darko who is also the current president of the Employers Association of Ghana has been a member of the board since April 2012.
His appointment takes immediate effect.
He takes over from Lionel Van Lare Dosoo who passed away recently.
Mr. Darko has over 30 years experience in management.
Between 1975 and 1976 he had an attachment with Massey Ferguson UK before becoming the MD of Mechanical Lloyd in 1977.
In a related development, Ecobank has appointed Mr. Martin Eson-Benjamin to serve on the Board of the Bank as non-executive director, effective August 4, 2015.
