The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has lauded Richard Nii Armah Quaye, President of RNAQ Holdings and Foundation, as a shining example of dedication to community and cultural values, declaring, “the Ga State is proud of you.”
The praise came at the close of Mr. Quaye’s ceremonial tour of key Ga Traditional Councils, a gesture that underscored both his reverence for the chieftaincy institution and his commitment to the development of the Ga State.
His tour took him to the Sempe, Asere, Gbese, Abola, Akamanjen, and Otublohum Traditional Councils, where he sought the prayers and guidance of the chiefs.
At each palace, he called on Ghanaians and the international community alike to support the chiefs and people of the Ga State in their pursuit of growth and development.
In the spirit of Homowo, Mr. Quaye extended practical support to the councils, each receiving 50 bags of water, 20 cartons each of Heineken, malt, and Guinness, one goat, and a cash donation of GHS 50,000.
He also used the opportunity to brief the chiefs on two of his recent initiatives: the Food Bank project, which is providing relief for the vulnerable across Greater Accra, and his collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment on the “Red Means Stop” campaign, which tackles the growing threat of drug abuse among children.
The tour ended at the Ga Mantse’s Palace, where Mr. Quaye presented King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II with the same package given to the other councils, along with a GHS 100,000 cash donation in honour of Homowo.
In response, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II praised Mr. Quaye’s consistency in supporting the Ga State and the impact of his initiatives, stressing that his example should inspire others to follow suit.
“The Ga State is proud of you,” the King declared, describing his efforts as proof of how individuals can meaningfully engage with their traditional leaders while contributing to broader social progress.
Reflecting on the journey, Mr. Quaye said, “As a son of Ga land, walking into each palace felt like coming home. These visits reminded me of the values, discipline, and sense of community that shaped me, and I am committed to ensuring they continue to guide future generations.”
He added that the experience reaffirmed his belief in the power of tradition, unity, and shared purpose to inspire progress that lasts for generations.
