Good music has the power to influence one’s state of mind in dealing with a variety of problems one faces. This is what Eselase Kordz Dzigbede viewed it with his Liberate African Woman album. To him music is one of those enterprises that when well exploited could become a complete medium of change, to a whole society. He says if you live with open mind, you will hear the voice of your surrounding, to help you understand life. That was how his beautiful album of eight songs was written and composed. Characteristic of reggae fans and Rastafarians across the world the album is termed the jungle Reggae music.Aside from the melodic, harmonic, and formal structures of each song- music lovers will have something to cheer about when he will dedicate this album to the first President Dr Kwame Nkrumah during the Golden Jubilee Celebration. He says Dr. Nkrumah has done a lot not only to Ghana’s liberation but to Africa as a whole and his vision must be sustained. The eight track album has such songs as Teacher, Liberate African Woman, Osagyefo, Division, Adufati, Libener La Femme Africaine, yesterday and Hard to say farewell. The songs are recorded on Compact Disc (CD) and Cassettes. His manager Mawutor Yao Dadzoe says when you get a good idea like Eselase you are likely to allow it to over-mature in your mind before putting it down on paper. However your dreams get killed by fear of sponsor support and financial promises. But thanks to God, this is a project that has stood the test of time and has developed to maturity," he added.Spectator
