The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South, Madam Theresa Tagoe says executives of the NPP in her constituency must produce a number of macho men they allegedly recruited to beat up polling station executives on Monday.She said the 1992 Constitution of Ghana has no place for macho men and she will pursue the matter in court so victims of the macho men’s assault get justice.On Monday a violent clash ensued between supporters of the MP for Ablekuma South, Madam Theresa Tagoe and constituency executives.The clash led to the arrest of a number of executives including the Constituency Chairman, William Akpoh.The Greater Accra regional office of the NPP has already set up a committee to look into circumstances leading to the clash.However, Madam Tagoe says she cannot trust the committee to do any justice to the fracas because it was set up by the Regional Chairman of the party, Sammy Crabbe, who she distrusts.Madam Tagoe said Mr. Crabbe had proved himself to be in support of the aggressors in the clash and would rather the matter was settled in court since it was a criminal case.Sammy Crabbe also told Joy News he would prefer that the matter be settled amicably without recourse to the courts since the matter was an intra party issue.He said he cannot afford to see the party wash its dirty linen in public hence his desire to get the matter out of the hands of the police.Madam Tagoe told Joy News the polling station executives, who had legally passed a vote of no confidence in the party’s constituency executives, were meeting to deliberate on an apparent lack of response form the Regional and national offices when they were set upon by the group and beaten up.She said she was in her office when she received a phone call that the executives had brought macho men to beat them up so she drove to the Korle-Bu Police to lodge a complaint, from where she proceeded to the venue and caused the arrest of some of the executives she personally identified.
