Ghana international Thomas Partey made his injury return on Monday night as Arsenal played Sheffield United in the Premier League.
The midfielder came off the bench to play the last 26 minutes of the game, his first appearance since the October international break.
Partey had been sidelined since featuring for the Black Stars in friendlies against Mexico and the United States of America in October 2023.
The injury saw the Ghanaian miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d'Ivoire with the Black Stars suffering an early exit from the competition.
Partey had suffered setbacks during his recovery period but overcame all relapses to finally make his return.
He replaced Jorginho in the 65th minute of the game with the Gunners already leading 6-0 against the Blades.
Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Ben White were all on the scoresheet for Mikel Arteta's side.
