Kusi told the court that on May 14, personnel from the Bureau for National Investigation (BNI) arrested Yakubu at the BoG premises in Kumasi with the said amount.
He said the fake currencies made up of 10,000 and 20,000 notes and bearing the same serial numbers were about to be deposited at the bank by Yakubu and he mentioned two others as his accomplices.
The three mentioned another person as their boss through whom they had the currencies and said their boss ordered them to deposit the fake notes in the various banks in the country.Source: GNA
