For several decades 1000s of tourists have visited the remote Western Region town of Nzulenzu, they go to see how a people survive living on water.
Nzulenzu, the village on stilts, receives over 20,000 tourists each year, adding to Ghana's rating as a key tourist destination in the world.
However, in spite of the enormous revenue this site generates for the country, the inhabitants still live in grave depravity - a poor setting with sanitation, health and educational infrastructure in a very bad state.
For Hotline this Thursday March 1, 2012, Joy FM's Kwaku Owusu Peprah paddles to the village set on water and reports that the people drink from the same source of water in which they defecate.
Hotline airs this and every Thursday at 8:30am on the Super Morning Show.
