On Friday 22nd December, Ghana’s hip-life icon Tic Tac will star on DStv’s MTV Base in latest video Kangaroo.Nana Kwaku Okyere Duah a.k.a Tic Tac stands out as one of Ghana’s musicians the country is proud to have produced.The young artiste has released one hit album after the other, ever since his previous works attained him the household name after his hit songs which include ‘Phenomena,’ ‘Mmaa Formula,’ ‘Kwani Kwani,’ ‘Fefe Ne Fe’ amid numerous other hit songs.Tic Tac is the first Ghanaian hip life artiste to collaborate with other Africa‘s best musicians like Tony Tetuila and Meiway including featuring his own local colleague artistes on his album.His current album is recorded on the TN records label in collaboration with Kafina Management.It has on it hits songs like Beware of Dogs, Osoo Koo, Ugo See, Rashida, I-I w e k o s i n Kangoro, Giggy Bambom, among others.
Tic Tac is currently embarking on other major projects with the United Nations as part of the WFP raising funds for children in the country and supporting the youth empowerment campaign as well.The Accra connection is also currently among one of his top project he is embarking on.The video was shot as a joint project between the Ghana Tourism and Diasporan Relations Ministry, MTV base, NYU’s Ghana campus and the team of directors and cinematographers working on international superstar Akon’s new video. ‘The video for ‘Kangaroo’ was being filmed in and around Accra.The crew included director Gil Green (director of videos for Brandy, Lil’ Jon, Akon), Producer Martell Rose and Di rector of Photography Martin Lince and Editor Pierre Verna.Times
