Tigo has appointed brand management expert, Tara Squire, as the new Head of Mobile effective November 27, 2014.
In his new role, Tara will be responsible for both the Commercial and Mobile Financial Services (MFS) strategy and execution. This includes all products and services ranging from Voice, Data, Entertainment, Content, Solutions and Customer Value Management.
Tara previously worked with Blu Telecommunications Limited as the Chief Commercial Officer, leading the development of the brand and building the marketing and sales teams of the business. Prior to that, he worked at Vodafone Ghana as the Head of Consumer Marketing, where his portfolio included new customer acquisition, product development and value management.
Tara’s earlier career included sales and marketing roles at Unilever and British American Tobacco and then senior management positions at Standard Charted Bank & Zain (formerly Airtel Ghana).
Commenting on his appointment, the CEO for Tigo, Roshi Motman, said “We are pleased to have Tara on board.
“His experience in product development and innovation will be invaluable to Tigo as we take giant steps to become the digital lifestyle brand of choice for Ghanaians. Customer value management is very essential and we hope to build a much stronger relationship with our customers by exceeding their expectations and giving them real value for money.”
