Three television stations in Ghana have formed a syndicate to work in partnership to telecast the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and other Fifa tournaments.There was also an agreement on the sharing of advertising and sponsorship revenue generated from broadcasting the football competitions.The deal was brokered by Optimum Media Prime(OMP) and an agreement was signed last Monday 23 February by the heads of Ghana Television, Metro TV and TV3.Of the total revenue generated, the state broacaster GTV will recieve 41.2%, Metro TV 31.25% and TV 3 will get 27.25%.OMP holds the broadcasting rights for the Black Stars world cup qualifying matches and also the 2009 World Youth Championship and Under-17 World Cup.Source: Ghanasoccernet
