The Special Unit of the Ghana Police Service has arrested two employees of a company at North Kaneshie, Accra, for allegedly conspiring to rob the firm during a scheduled cash transfer.
The suspects, identified as Joseph Danso, alias Nana Yaw, and Fauzan Alhassan, were apprehended on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, while trailing a dispatch rider conveying company funds to a bank at Abossey Okai.
A police statement indicated that intelligence gathered revealed a plot involving the two suspects and their alleged accomplices, identified as Frankie and Asante, to rob the company during the cash movement.

“Surveillance mounted by the Special Support Unit led to the arrest of the two suspects in the act,” the statement said.
During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to their involvement and named their accomplices.

Police said efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects, while the two are in custody, assisting with investigations.
