President John Dramani Mahama has relieved two District Chief Executives of their duties.
Moses Dramani Luri and Vivian Kunku Banongkore of the Sissala West and Jirapa Districts respectively are to leave office with immediate effect.
A statement dated December 3, and signed by Local Government Minister, Julius Debrah, says the President’s decision was in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(4) of the Local Government Act, (Act 462), 1993.
As in previous dismissals, no reasons have been assigned for the decision to remove the two from office.
