Two people are dead in an accident at the Ritz Junction between Madina and Adenta in Accra Sunday afternoon.
The two, believed to be in their 30s, were in a Nissan Terrano with registration number GR 9333-Z from Adenta to Ashalley Botwe when the accident occurred.
An eyewitness, Caesar Abebrese told Myjoyonline.com that a Zoomlion refuse truck with registration number GT 1982-12, which was heading towards the Pantang refuse dump site from Madina, ran into the Nissan Terrano at the Ritz intersection.
Caesar noted that the Zoomlion truck dragged the Nissan Terrano, and its occupants, for several minutes mangling the 4x4 vehicle in the process.
The driver of the Zoomlion truck, according reports absconded before the Madina Police arrived at the scene.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue.
