Akwasi Agyekum, 30, and Abena Agyapomaa, 37, both farmers at Achiase near Nyinahin in the Atwima Mponua District have appeared before the Nyinahin Magistrate’s Court for threatening to kill, and assaulting, a colleague.
They pleaded not guilty and were granted bail in the sum of GH¢300 each to re-appear on May 27, 2008.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Isaac Napoleon Asherow, told the court, presided over by Mr. Augustine Essah, that on April 14, this year, Madam Yaa Abrafi, also a farmer at Achiase went to her farm to work.
He said while working on her farm the two accused appeared and warned her not to step in the farm anymore because the land belonged to their late father.
The prosecutor said there was exchange of words between Madam Abrafi and the accused, who assaulted and threatened to kill her.Source: GNA
