The Police in Enchi have arrested two young men for attempting to traffic a nineteen year-old Junior High School student at Suaman Dadieso in the Western region.
Nyantor Kwabena was lured by the suspected human traffickers who promised to give him a job. He was struggling to make ends meet since he had lost both parents in death.
The suspects then attempted to sell Nyantor for GHS 80,000.
But he was saved by the police who upon a tip-off intercepted the suspected traffickers before the could complete their terms of sale.
District Police Commander of Enchi, DSP Isaac Akligbe said the suspects who have been charged with human trafficking first denied they committed the crime but later owned up.
