The Old Achimotan Association (OAA24) is in mourning following the tragic deaths of two of its members, Davida Asante Boateng and Lilian Akorli, both affiliated with Stopford House.
The two young women lost their lives in a fatal accident on 7th March 2025 along the Achimota Highway in Accra.
According to an official report from the Executive Board of OAA24, the victims were returning to the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) after attending the Annual Bonfire Celebration at Achimota School.

The unfortunate incident occurred at approximately 11:30 PM when they were struck by a vehicle while crossing the highway.
Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle, identified as a black Toyota Corolla, failed to stop after hitting the two women.

Despite the swift response of medical personnel, Davida Asante Boateng was pronounced dead at 4:00 AM on 8th March. Lilian Akorli, who sustained critical injuries, fought for her life but sadly succumbed later that morning.

The statement conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pledged ongoing support during this difficult time.
“The Old Achimotan Association (OAA24) extends our deepest condolences to the families of Davida and Lilian. We will continue to provide support to their families and find ways to honour their memory,” the statement read.
