The Ghana Police Service says its outfit has arrested one out of the three suspected armed robbers caught stealing from traders on the Manso-Nkwanta road.
According to the Service in a Facebook post, the two others were killed by the Ashanti Regional Police Patrol team during a shootout with the police team.
The robbery incident and its aftermath took place on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.
The security team after the encounter retrieved an AK 47 assault rifle from the armed gang. The police also says full details regarding the incident will be released soon.
Meanwhile, the Police Service has assured that it will continue to work and rid the country of criminals roaming the streets and causing havoc.
"We will get these criminally-minded people one after the other to make our communities safe," the Service stated.
