The University for Development Studies (UDS) has appointed Nurudeen Issah Abubakar as the new Registrar of the University. This appointment takes effect from September 1, this year.
The decision was announced after a meeting held by the Governing Council of the University on Thursday.
Mr Issah Abubakar until his appointment, was the Deputy Registrar in charge of Academic and Students Affairs.
He was appointed Assistant Registrar since 2001 and has held other portfolios including Assitant Registrar and Faculty of Officer/School Officer at the School of Medicine.
He also works at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor and the directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DAPQA).
Mr Issah Abubakar holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Arabic and Philosophy, and a Masters Degree in Archival Studies, from the University of Ghana.
He also has a Professional Certificate obtained from the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants-Ghana (CIAMC-Ghana).
