The siamese twins delivered through a caesarean procedure on the  25 year old mother have died while being transferred from the Kade Government hospital in the Eastern region to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra

The twins born in critical conditions had difficulty breating and were on oxygen support. They needed emergency care at a more well-equipped facility.

The mother, Mary Botwe from Anhimu a village near Kade in the Kwaebibirim District of the Eastern Region, gave birth to Siamese male children last Monday.

The children who have one anus, testicle and penis with joint legs were born at around 9 pm on Monday 20th October, 2014 at the Kade Government Hospital in the Eastern Region. They are conjoined from the waist to the legs.

Authorities at the Kade government hospital had hinted that the children will be transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra for onward separation but the father of the children  Mr. Yaw Ademor disclosed to Adom News Reporter Maxwell Kudekor that he cannot afford it.

Yaw Ademor said he is a labourer at the Ghana Oil Palm Development Company in Kade but does not have the financial means to pay for the surgery.

Ademor disclosed that he cannot even afford the cost of the Ambulance from Kade to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, let alone pay for the cost of the operation.

Life has since become terrible for Mr Yaw Ademor (and his family) and he has been patrolling on the compound of Kade Government Hospital throwing his hands in despair.

He however with a heavy heart pleaded with the general public and philanthropists to come to their aid and save the innocent children and make life bearable for them.
