A high-profile delegation from SHE Empowerment Global in the United States is set to arrive in Ghana today, October 7, ahead of the organization’s official launch on October 11. The initiative aims to empower single women, including mothers, by equipping them with entrepreneurial skills to foster economic independence.
Led by founder Lady Patricia Adams Williams, the delegation will include SHE Empowerment Global Ambassador Dr. Cheryl Polote-Williamson and Board member Dr. Shirley Clarke. The launch will take place at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, where the organization’s mission of breaking the cycle of poverty among young women aged 18-35 will be introduced to the public.
A statement issued by the organization emphasized the importance of nurturing entrepreneurial skills in women, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. “We foster businesses that are scalable, so that participants not only generate income but can also reinvest and grow,” said Lady Patricia.
The SHE Empowerment Global delegation is set to meet with key stakeholders in Ghana, including policymakers, local NGOs, community leaders, and potential partners in the private sector. Notably, the team will engage with Honourable Nana Oye Bampoe, gender activist Madam Delasi Amable, and Dr. Benedict Yartey, an educationist, to strengthen support for the organization’s mission.
In addition to these engagements, the delegation will visit the Princess Marie Louis Hospital in Kantamanto, Accra, for discussions on potential collaborations. They will also meet with the Ghana Beauticians Association to share their vision for empowering women in entrepreneurship.
On October 10, the team will hold discussions with the staff of the Africa Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA), whose Executive Director, Dr Rasheed Draman, is a Ghanaian member of the SHE Empowerment Global Board. The following day, the delegation will participate in a durbar organized by Paramount Queenmother Mamaga Atove IV in the Leklebi Traditional Area.
Lady Patricia, an executive member of the American Care Foundation, is known for her work in education and child development. Co-founder Dr. Cheryl Polote-Williamson, a multi-best-selling author and transformational speaker, brings her expertise in mindset coaching and empowerment to the project. Also part of the delegation is Dr. Shirley Clarke, a Women’s Empowerment Coach with over four decades of experience in leadership and philanthropy.
SHE Empowerment Global is positioning itself as a catalyst for economic development in Ghana, with a focus on uplifting young women through sustainable entrepreneurship. The delegation’s visit and meetings in the country aim to build lasting partnerships that will contribute to the success of the initiative.
