The Dallas Christian School in Texas, U.S., has donated educational materials including books, computers and accessories, in addition to 350 bicycles, to Church of Christ Primary School at Atieku in the Western Region.
Evangelist Lawrence Oduro, founder of the Atieku School, said the donation was in response to an appeal he made to the Dallas School during his visit to the U.S last year.
He later presented the bicycles to the pupils in the presence of their parents.
He expressed the hope that the bicycles will facilitate the mobility of the pupils especially to school regularly and on time.
Mr. Jacob Owusu, chairman of the school’s Parent Teacher Association, thanked the donors and appealed to parents to take advantage of the package and ensure that their children attend school promptly.
