Vanguard Assurance Company Tuesday honoured Joy 99.7 FM at the former’s Corporate Day Out at Akosombo in the Eastern Region.The honour was an acknowledgment of the station’s diverse contributions to the growth of Vanguard which is now a Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) Hall of Famer.Vanguard hosted staff and cherished clients to an Independence Day holiday Day Out to re-energize, have fun and also build a more compact family and business.Several cherished clients of the company together with its staff mingled, dined, danced and cruised on the Dodi Princess to the famous Dodi Island and back. The staff and clients were joined by families and well wishers.Mr. Gideon Amenyedor, CEO of Vanguard Assurance told Myjoyonline.com in an interview that “the essence of this trip is to show how Ghanaians have not only gained political independence but also financial independence … the success story of Vanguard Assurance which started as the first Ghanaian insurance company has become world class, winning a lot of awards locally and internationally.”According to him, the company “felt that it is a day that we need to bring together all of our stakeholders, our clients, our brokers, stock clients, stock brokers and we come together and say thank you to them. Apart from that also listen to their feedback as to how well we are satisfying them, where we are not doing right so we begin to move forward.”The Day Out, which he said had lived to expectation, will “not be the first and will never be the last,” disclosing that, “For Vanguard we believe in linking reward with productivity so as we continue to go forward we will also make sure that we say thank you to the people who make Vanguard [what it is].”Some clients of the company were also awarded at the event while some hardworking staff also received prizes.Esther Berimah, Eric Lutterodt, Eward Amoah and Kwame Boakye were among the recipients.With 37 years of excellence in the insurance industry, Vanguard Assurance was inducted into the CIMG Hall of Fame at the 22nd Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Awards Night held in Accra last year.
