CIMG Telecoms Company of the year, Vodafone Ghana has launched an innovative mobile asset tracking service for companies called the Fleet Manager Service.
The service is aimed at eliminating the challenges companies face with respect to the management of their fleet of vehicles and mobile assets.
The Fleet Manager tracking system comes with features such as fuel sensors for monitoring fuel consumption, digital cameras for taking pictures around the vehicle, audio voice recognition to communicate with drivers, magnetic locks for extra security and coded log-in features for drivers.
It also includes a GPS tracking device with a data sim installed in the vehicle and tracking software on a computer and accessed by the customer through the internet on real time basis from the comfort of their office.
Speaking at the launch, Head of Vodafone Business Solution, Derek Appiah said the Fleet Manager tracking service is a testament of their promise to deliver unique customer solutions and to empower customers to be fruitful in their businesses.
According to him, driver idling, over-speeding, hijacking, fuel and car theft, high operational cost, safety of people and property will be a thing of the past.
Mr. Appiah indicated that business customers with five or more vehicles within the SME, corporate and government sectors will be able to increase productivity and efficiency whilst reducing operational costs and ensuring the safety of people and property.
“We are confident that a significant amount of customers, lives and businesses will be improved with the product” he added.
The Vodafone Business Solution boss said even though similar tracking devices are on the market, their product is unmatched, as he says it comes with innovative features that surpass any other on the market.
Derek Appiah stated unequivocally Fleet Manager Service will improve productivity, reduce accidents, improve safety of passengers and reduce cost significantly.
