About 500 electorates at the “Sky High Centre” in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency in Accra are awaiting their turn to register to vote in the 2012 elections after a scanner being used for the exercise became faulty.
Supervisor for the Sky High Centre, Eyram Kanda told Adom News on Monday, his request for a new scanner to replace the faulty one on Saturday was yet to be granted.
The center was hoping to register about 1,200 eligible voters in the ten (10) days that the officials had been there but only 700 have been captured.
Electorates are worried that with Monday being the last day for registration at the center, they may lose their right to register when the team moves to a new location for the last leg of the exercise this week.
