Voting is underway for the governing National Democratic Congress to elect its presidential candidate for the 2012 presidential elections.
Wife of the founder of the NDC, former president Jerry Rawlings is vying for the slot with the sitting president, John Evans Atta Mills.
Over 3,000 delegates from across the country are expected to pick between Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings and president Mills.
The campaign in the run-up to today's voting has been largely acrimonious.
Political watchers say it will be a miracle for the former first lady to win against the sitting president.
President Mills, according to the pundits must win emphatically if he is to be able to establish his authority on the party.
