The West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) has announced the resumption of gas delivery at its regulating and metering station in Tema.
This comes after an automatic shutdown triggered by heavy rains and strong winds on Wednesday, May 22.
According to an earlier statement, the severe winds accompanying the morning rains activated the system's automatic shutdown mechanism, leading to a complete shutdown of the gas delivery system.
In a subsequent statement, WAPCo confirmed the restoration of gas delivery and expressed gratitude to its key stakeholders for their patience during the system's repair process.
The company acknowledged the inconvenience caused and appreciated the understanding and support received while addressing the issue.
"The West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) is pleased to announce that it has resumed gas delivery at its Regulating and Metering Station at Tema, Accra, after a system shut down."
"WAPCo is grateful to its key stakeholders for their patience while the system was being fixed," the statement said.
